New Beginnings
Dr. Ruchi Dass

Here I am again!! So winter is on, and all wives are getting dearer for their husbands; Oh, not because it's fun time, but because they need a new "fur coat"! I'll keep you away from my tips on having a better love life (I had to break up with a nice guy, you see), the vaccinations schedule and all that blah blah. Today I'll tell you what you can do to enhance the aspect of your life you've neglected in your single-minded pursuit of that elusive diamond ring.

All those people are "super idiots" who ask you to change your behaviour and antics for the new season. Just dedicate your January for this list

Expand Your Thinking With New Experiences
Party, travel, read B Positive (oops!), get a new gadget for yourself, get involved in sports or go bungee jumping. Try something adventurous. Visit historical monuments, temples - our rich cultural heritage, our nature, you know... Here is a tip, if you've never been there, visit this place called Binsar in Uttarakhand.

Start this in January and do one activity every week, and then assess how impacts your life magically.

Start a Business Plan
I know 99.99 percent women are born entrepreneurs. If you've been sitting on a business idea for a while and haven't acted on it, it's time to do something about it. Write about your ideas and start discussing. Log on to allbusiness.com and read some tips.

Get a Leg –up
Oh! Your husband will not like it - it's no-money, man! But it is so much fun. Volunteer for a cause! Log on to volunteer.org for opportunities. In case you have kids, log on to supermummy.ning.com

Do the Math
Are you losing your friends every year as I am losing my hair? Sometimes you forget their birthdays, sometimes their anniversaries and all. Be smart this time - sign up for a birthday /anniversary reminder service. Additionally, schedule a regular date night on your calendar with your spouse. Do schedule all routine doctor and dentist appointments for the year too.

Get Headstrong
Quit worrying about trying to please every one. Bill Cosby says "I don't know the key to success, but I know the key to failure is trying to please everybody." Get headstrong and get ready to succeed.
